Since 2014 Hamish Chamberlain has served as Mt. Beautiful’s Farm Manager, responsible for overseeing operations of three farms spread out within the region. Although Hamish was raised in Cheviot (and currently calls it home), he left the area for quite a while to attend college at the University at Lincoln outside of Christchurch. He also enjoyed some time living abroad in Esperance, Western Australia where he provided agricultural contracting services and harvested cereals. What he enjoys most about his role at Mt. Beautiful is the variety of work and ever challenging nature that farming presents. When you can’t find Hamish driving between the farms, you might find him water skiing, jet boating, fishing or snow skiing nearby.
